At Chelveston Road School we believe that all children should have opportunities to develop beyond the classroom. There are numerous opportunities to take part in our exciting and engaging extra-curricular programme, giving students the chance to learn new skills and enhance existing ones.

There will be a broad range of extra-curricular activities available using the brilliant new facilities that we have. These will range from sports, to gardening, to cooking and so much more as the school grows and greater numbers of staff join our excellent team, enhancing the skills and expertise that we have.

As well as structured activities being available for students at lunchtimes, after school Extra-Curricular clubs will be available on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; Wednesdays are given over to staff professional development.

After school extra-curricular clubs will start later in the school year in order to give time for transport and other logistics time to be organised.

Lunchtime clubs have now started.

To see what clubs are on each day, students can check the Lunchtime Clubs noticeboard outside the sports hall.

Extended Learning Opportunities

Please see the pdf documents below for out of school learning activities.  This includes some of the websites that we use at school for learning.

Reading, Reading, Reading

We're encouraging all our students to read both in school and at home.  This can be a book for pleasure, magazines, comics, recipes when students are helping to cook at home.  To support reading, we have launched our 'Escape to the Lakes' reading challenge; please ask your young person about it.
